The Atlanta Football Host Committee Selects Exclusive Sales Agency
ATLANTA (November 30, 2016) – Trenches Sports and Entertainment has been selected as the exclusive sponsorship sales agency of the Atlanta Football Host Committee (AFHC), the organization responsible for serving as the local organizing committee of the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, in conjunction with the College Football Playoff (CFP), to be played in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Monday, January 8, 2018.
Trenches will be fully responsible for the sponsorship sales strategy and work closely with the AFHC to develop programs that build awareness and excitement for the national championship game and accompanying fan events. Trenches will also handle the development of a corporate partnership program for the AFHC that is separate and outside of the existing CFP partners.
Trenches CEO Brad Olecki and Atlanta sports sales executive Owen Shull will lead the sales efforts. Both have a combined 35 years of working in the collegiate athletic space.
“Hosting the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship is a one-of-a-kind experience and will benefit the Atlanta community in many ways,” said Carl Adkins, executive director of the Atlanta Football Host Committee. “As a host city, it’s important to secure support for local programming and initiatives, and we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Trenches Sports and Entertainment and look forward to having Brad and Owen’s experience in the industry lead the way.”
“It is an honor for us to work with the AFHC on the national championship game here in Atlanta in 2018. Both Owen and I have spent the majority of our careers working in collegiate athletics so we know the importance of this great event for the city of Atlanta as well as its national impact each year,” said Olecki, CEO of Trenches Sports and Entertainment. “We look forward to helping show why Atlanta is one of the greatest cities in America for hosting first-class sporting events.”
